The local law enforcement official speaks to the community about public safety in the Parish Center at Our Lady of the Holy Cross during a monthly meeting.
Before the pandemic broke out our Community Center was awarded a $9,000 grant from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Under the direction of Jan Quinn, Director of the Center, the organization serves 25-30 patrons with homemade meals every Tuesday and Thursday for lunch. The organization also provides information sessions, usually led by a guest speaker. The presentations cover a wide spectrum which includes themes related to crime, safety, healthy eating habits, exercise, and donating organs to science, etc.. These monthly sessions can be an hour long and are followed by questions and discussion.
